A Face for Islam?

This image has been circulating on some of the blogs I read. It appeared first on KABOBfest, I believe. Muslims are sounding off on what it’s supposed to mean. Why slap that headline on that head?

Some frustrations include that Islam has been racialized and that the image chosen is one that is purposefully intimidating, thereby promoting Islamophobia. People are also sounding off over at Racialicious. What do you think?

  he just looks scary! especially with the scar and funny eye.. but I suppose thats what they want
